    dreambox 500s, ip adress 192.168.0.0 ?? help

hi my dreambox ip is displaying 192.168.0.0 , sometimes it wont let me access the box via ftp and most of my channels wont work, its like the ethernet cable is unplugged iv tryed various ethernet cables but its just the same, iv tryed various different images same , its like a dodgy ethernet conection inside the box, sometimes it works for 5 mins then back to its old tricks ie no ftp, no ip 192.168.0.0, no channels , any ideas folks, i know all my conections and cables are fine as iv setup plenty of dm500s with same cables and image?? help

Put an ethernet cable into the 500 and look inside the box(tru the top grill),youll see some led's flashing as you connect. If thats not happening then your ethernet port is goosed.
Spare parts can be bought for the 500 if your handy with a soldering iron
