Splittler instead of a LNB

Hello, I want to know if I can do this, so I have a single LNB with a SKY minidish, which I already have a sky box to, would I be able to put a splitter on that connection from my lnb and then connect one to my sky box and the other to a dreambox

yes you can buy a splitter then split to both boxes
but
all the splitter is gonner do is save swapping cables
you cant have both boxes on at the same time
turn one completely off to watch the other

or buy a quad lnb and run another cable

so a LNB is the better option I want to know do you think I will mess up my allignment if I change my lnb I have a sky dish

Get a quad lnb off eBay for around ?5 ( make sure you get the right lnb for the collar on the sky dish ) ,all you are doing is swapping your lnb , unscrew f connector/cable and 2 screws in the collar ,take the old one off and put the new one on and that's it, just dont swing on the arm when you are changing the lnb.

agreed , just get a ?6 one with legacy adapter , or a cheaper one but ensure you get the correct adapter that is the same as your current lnb

if in doubt buy a quad with legacy adapter , then straight swap of the lnb and run an extra cable or a shotgun cable from that lnb , or up to 4 cables to wherever you like

for more feeds buy an octo lnb

there should be no need to realign the dish

i would sling the sky box in the bin
and just use dm

Well I have a subscription so I need it. And is it illegal to do this like can sky do anything to me
