    eagle box

just picked up a eagle box, looks like a dm 500, am i right in thinking that a pli image that i have for a dm 500 will be ok to flash for the eagle box?
is it the same basicly as the dm 500?

reading around the forums, they dont get a good rating!!!
should i just tell the owner to upgrade to a dm 800 or something like?

    thanks in advance

The Eagle 500 is just another DM500S copy. They do seem to be a pretty good box, more reliable than some copies.

        thanks chaps, next question is,
does any body have the v4/v5 image for the eagle?
when the box fires up, it just flash's away, with the loading image all the time!! have looked around the forum and cant find one?
also would i be able to load flip flops bouquets on for enigma 1.

        thanks

          lack of power from eagle

stuck a pli image that i had for my old 500.
got it all up and running ok.
do the eagle box's suffer with lack of power?
the guy who owns it has it set up as follows,
motorised 1.2 dish, scart lead to a rf splitter feeding 3 diffrent t.v's.
cant the dish to move, i have to uplug the scart to the splitter, just to get half a chance to move the dish.

have told him to sack the box, and have recommended to get a 800 or a solo.
would these have enough power to do what he wants??
