Restore Dreambox 500

Hi all,

I have had a Dm500, most likely a clone box for about 6 months. The box had started to behave strangely and instable. It was running Gemini. I decided to reinstall it with a different image.

There was card sharing already set up on it.

I ftped and made a full copy of everything. Due to a foolish mistake I deleted everything while in ftp and had a bricked box.

Flashed the box with the latest PLI image and it's working smoothly now, except for that it doesn't scan all the channels which I assume I need to update my transponders list in sattellite.xml

I was wondering is there any way I can transfer the old image back on it from my ftp copy? I didn't make a backup.img just copied everything from ftp into a folder.

Alternativly, I have tried to set up the card sharing on the new PLI image without success.

Could someone be so kind to please point me in the right direction. Completly new at this, so have no idea.

Get yourself the latest SGTFlip Flops channel list in the stickys and ftp them into your box with Dreamboxedit.
Heres a rough guide on how to do it
The Enigma1 list will do ya from Flip Flops downloads,on the pli image press the blue button and goto software management and then downloads and download CCcam from the online server.
You can now goto the backup folder from your other image and ftp the CCcam.cfg file from there into var/etc on your box.
Once thats done you press blue again,goto softcam setup..choose CCcam as default cam and green to save and restart it.
Job done

i flashed my dm 500s with a turkish ??? firmware and it stops now on boot( nothing else)
any help please

Flash it with Pli Jade 3...most stable image,it'll overwrite your turkish image.
Follow my above post for channel list,ftp etc.
