    no signal

I have bought a DM500S and a satalite dish. the AGC is about 70% but the SNR is at 1%. No signal on any channals, i have pointed the dish in the correct direction and been fine tuning it all day trying to get it to work. I've tried everything i can think off but have had no luck. don't know what else to do now.

Is it fixed dish or motorised?
Guessing you have set up the network added a bouquet and set up the tuner correctly?

It is a fixed dish, the guy who i bought it off installed ccam, flashed it and so on. just told me i needed to plug it all in and add a c-"arrow". its got a douquet and a couple of days EPG data on it.

            I would check connections then.
You sometimes get a fluctuating signal even without any sat cable in it.
Would still look in setup menu and make sure you're on 28.2

If your not getting free to air on 28 e
check the box on a known working dish at another location
Bit early to suspect tuner but will eliminate your set up
              Hope this helps .............Paul

Get an old Sky box and plug it into your feed....youll always get free to air if your dish is ok.
Process of elimination really...youll sort it out bud,its always something small thatll fck up everything

It's not a freesat box, that's why. To get all to open you need a sea lion
