Are you using the same ip address on both boxes?

    Andy.

Personally i would have Dhcp switched off and have a higher numbered ip address for the box.
Example,if ip of gateway is 192.168.2.1 i would make ip address for Dreambox as - 192.168.2.100 last digits big so you dont get no ip conflict.

Gateway should be same as router and nameserver.
If that doesnt work i would reflash.
        Andy.

          Ah right.

I did try that actually, I set it to a number I know it wouldn't have conflicted with anything else in the house.

Will try more options before doing reflash.

Im guessing you're not getting any premium channels.
If you have a working box swap the ***** over.
Guessing the Cccam is turned on?

            Andy.

Yeah it's working fine on my dm800hd, so it isn't that.

Cccam is on, but even then, with no Internet it won't work.

I looked at the mouth, and it's missing one part, One of the dir is blank. And I can't save it. Could that be it?

How are you doing a network test on the Dreambox 500s?
If the network looks right and the Dreambox800 is working fine i would reflash if the network looks ok.
Cant be much more than a dodgy ethernet or a dodgy box.
Dont suppose you're on Virgin are you and its a Netgear router?

well i go into coms set up and do a test, the ip and sunbet stay red but gateway and nameserver go green which is weird. So cccam wont work that. but its working fine on dm800hd, using homeplugs, used the same plug and cable on dm800hd and that worked aswell.

Sounds like a re flash is need right?

I didnt realise you can do a network test on that box?
Cant you copy the exact details from the network off the Dreambox 800hd? Reboot and see what happens.

Can you answer my earlier post thanks about router and provider,

                    Andy,

Tried that mate, but it has different menus and some of it is different, but everything that I saw was all the same.

Sorry, got sly and their router.

All i can think of you have put in an incorrect ip address or a decimal point is in the wrong place.
The ip address of the Blackbox should mirror the Gateway, barring the last digits.
Example, Gate way is 192.168.2.1 change the .1 to anything high like .100 for the Blackbox.
Thats all i can say mate without seeing it myself.

                        Andy.
