The dreambox ip should mirror the routers ip barring the last digits.
Try 192.168.1.100 and turn dhcp off,set the gateway and nameserver as 192.168.1.64 and reboot.

Dont forget when you start flashfxp or dcc to put the new ip address in of the box.

          Hopefully you will be connected.

          Andy.

Just the dreambox mate, having the dhcp as off will create a permanant static ip address,i use static ip address all the time.

Less chance of ip conflicts and you wont have to keep changing settings in dcc or dreambox edit ,flashfxp etc

On your laptop if you hit start it will bring up All programs.
If you type in cmd at the bottom where it says search for programs and files and hit enter.

Type in the black box ipconfig/all and hit enter.
It will bring up your details and confirm your routers default gateway.

I helped a guy a few weeks ago with bt hub and his was same ip as you and his was fine.
Check the ethernet and make sure its ok and reflash you dont have many more options im afraid as that should have worked.
Another thing swap the power supplys over if you have one for the other Dreambox.

                      Andy.

Try anything higher than .254 and see if that works.

Leave gateway as 192.168.1.254 and dreambox 192.168.1.270

Maybe a number higher than the router will sort it.
