DM500+ How to get a static IP

    Hello,

It seems DM500 + do not like static ip. I have just flashed such a box with Sif Team 1.9.3c and cannot get this box working with static ip. Before flashing, this box was running fine with a Pli image and static ip 192.168.1.142 port 742.

    I don't have this problem with DM500S !

Does anyone know to to sort this?

    Great thanks in advance.

      Thanks for your answer !

The box works perfect with dhcp activated. The box starts and receive ip, nameserver and gateway from my router. Once dhcp is desactivated, I can log in & out untill I reboot the box. Once box is restarted, I cannot login anymore with previous parameters.( Nothing has changed in "communication setup")

For info, I had same problem with EDG images but not with latest Pli !!

I thank you in advance for any help you could give me

Have you considered allocating the ip address it recieves in dhcp as a static and unticking the dhcp option on the dreambox to see if you can log into the box?

If you switch on the netbios option in your router can your router see your dreambox with a static ip? Can you ping the dreambox after you give it a static ip address?

              Good evening Curious,
Sorry I did not find any option to switch on the netbios on my Zyxel Prestige 660.
I'm actually trying to compare files from Pli Jade image with those from latest EDG Nemesis 4.4. No joy atm !!

Thanks again for your friendly help !

Sure I did press onb green & went back to communication setup to see if new parameters were kept!
I know it seems so unbelievable but this bug exists !!!

I'll look at this again tomorrow. Enough for today

                  Thanks again for your help
