How can I load EPG data from local folder,not from satellite?

How can I load EPG data from DM500's local floder,not from satellite?
If I can produce EPG data named 'epg.dat' by myself and the format just like we get from the satellite
Then put it into dreambox /var/epg (epg folder creat by myself)
Is there anyone can help me?
or tell me how the EPG works?(Gemini 4.6)

I've looked into this before and I have not found a way of doing what you are talking about. There are plugins that will provide EPG, but none that will integrate that EPG data into enigma.

Nabilosat are the only people I know who have done this. They have done it for Sky IT+ Sky UK is on the way. But this is only for E2 images.

Some EPG plugins I've used are,
MV + XMLTV,
WeekEPG,
EPG-Evolution

EPG-Evolution is probably the best of the bunch because it does everything automatically for the packages it supports. The box just needs to be connected to the net.

I would use Evolution software all you have to do is load extepg.cfg & extepg.so into /var/tuxbox/plugins and remote.xml into var/ect/ press the yellow buton select Evolution to load it then press Red and select external EPG, it works realy well and gives you a 7 day tv guide.

Hi Fater Ted !

You will have to use the Enigma 1 version for your DB600 pvr, It works on most images, Ill try and get new skins and updates over the next few days

I found it realy good especially with the record function days in advance.

this worked great on the dm600 with pli jade but it was a chew finding out where the plugins were

on my dm500 its only giving me 1 day EPG. What do i do to get 7 days?
