    Flashing Problem with DM-500s with dreamup

    Hi, I have installed dreamup to flash DM-500s, I have USB to RS232 cable and when I press connect an error message coming " unable to open com port, boot failed". My laptop is having no COM port. how can I solve this problem? need help. thanks

    Does the box boot ? If so flash over lan using the flash tool in dcc

      in dreamup on left hand corner make sure com is set to 1 should be ok then.

        If you look in device manager in windows and find which comport the rs232 converter is using then in dreamup (after restarting dreamup) select the correct comport things should work then. If you dont see your rs232 converter in Ports (device manger in windows) it may mean you have no driver loaded for your converter in windows.

        The other problem why you may be getting that message is that your comport is already assigned to another program. Close that program and restart dreamup with the correct comport selected.
