what type of dm500 tuner do i have

Ive made a jtag with a ls245 chip and connected it to the dm500
Now I need to know which type of tuner alps or philips is in the box
As far as i can see there is nothing inside the box which ID s the tuner type
How do you tell which tuner is there?

I know its a satellite receiver, Im trying to JTAG it to get it going.
The tut says there are 2 types of tuner and you need to flash the right one but I cant tell which is in my box

Play the odds, m8. 90% of clone DM500S tuners are the quailty Alps-S type, not the crap Philips.

Hi is there a way of finding out via the use of the remote control maybe a hidden setting on the menu system ??

If you are still able to reflash the box, (which is highly unlikely if you're having to resort to jtag), then flash Commando 14.7 and go BLUE > MENU > YELLOW for System Information.

In there, LraiZer identifies the tuner manufacturer for you. Commando 1 - Enigma 0
