dreambox query

hi guys

got a dm500s after nearly 3 yrs away from the scence

the box came with pli jade image on it and all channels preinstalled

however when i connect it via scart or yellow,red,white, cable i notice the picture isn't crystal clear and slightly fuzzy, even the letter on the pli image are slighty fuzzy,

my question is

is this something to do with the image or do you think its my box?
as i got back in touch with they guy i purchased it from who said try a diff image, but wanted to confirm with you experts on here.
this is without a c line in it so it not speed off broadband etc

also i do have a c line now and for last 3days trying to find box nation on the box and cant find it

scanned 11585 but not finding anything this was taken from LyngSat even checked it on my sky hd box and showing 11778 and not finding anything on that either, but does show on sky hd box?

and also the c line i got seem to have a bulk off chans like if there zoomed in, bit like if u watching a cam film, is that normally with c line or do you think its down to the c line i got, 1st c line i got.

when connected via scart did you alter the settings in the system setup menu from CVBS to RGB as it appears your getting the same signal as composite (Y,R,W) which is only a CVBS signal, Go back to the scart and in he system menu change the scart output to RGB.

You can also load a premade channel list for your DM500 if your just on 28.2? then look around for one they are available, This will have all the channels up to date so no need for a scan


The last part of your Question regarding 'line' is not discussed on this board i am afraid for that you will have to seek help elsewhere.

thanks for the reply checked setting for scart and is already on the one you said to change it to,

as for channel list will have a look on here and if cant found will user good old google to find one

Daft question but here it goes, thanks for the above file, however since i last posted, download adads from downloads,

got dreambox edit up and retrieve my bouquet to desktop, justin case sonmething goes wrong and then tranfered files onto box which goes through fine, however upon reloading settings to dreambox get a blue donut and stay like that nearly 30mins now, repeated this step a few times and still the same, however if u hover over it say can take a few mins?, ftping via ethernet cable, any help, dont know what im doing wrong

checking the link above now and following the dreamboxedit guide on there, will let u know how i get on

I think you meant to type by SGTFlipFlop didn't you? As you suggest he charges for his work, when he doesn't. It's all shared for FREE, Same as the rest of us..
