en500 vision dm500 clone help needed

I have been given the above receiver and want to use its full potential.It has satellites and bouquets loaded and image appears to be Gemini 360 and mgcamd 1.27.I have set it up for 4 satellites on diseq and all is fine for fta.Downloaded DCC and green link to PC box and router but telnet loads and drops immediately saying wrong password.I have spent hours checking forums for solutions and none seem to work.Is the box locked in anyway I wonder?I realise if I priced my time I could buy new box get HD etc and waste no time,but you know what we are like with this hobby.Incidentally I have cross over cable 9 pin male to male which I used to use on humax 5400 but frustratingly no equivalent female on new dell pc.

what exactly are you trying to tlnet to the box ?

All done now.I found computer to take cross over cable and reimaged with commando 14.6 all up and running with CC cam after much reading and frustration.Thanks for all the useful postings and the creators of commando..Reminds me of my dbox2 days which is now gathering dust.Have the dboxes any use these days?
