Dreambox 500s crashing

Hi,
Ive blown the dust off my old clone dreambox 500s and set it up in the bedroom.
The problem ive got is it locks-up and needs to be switched off then on again.
The other problem is it reboots itself, very bizarre.
Its running pli jade3 maxvar.
Anyone else had this problem?

are you sure i have been using it for a long time with no problems yours says maxvar i think thats a dif yer
