diffrence between Cble/Sat 500

could anybody please explain the main diffrence between the satelite dm500 and the cable, are there alot more channels on the sat than the cable, just wondering if its worth investing in and in terms of images are they as easy to put on as the cable.

The DM500s is a satellite receiver with a satellite tuner, the DM500c is the cable receiver with a cable tuner.

With satellite you ofcourse have many satellites that you can point the dish to, with cable you have only your cable companies feed

how bout in terms of channel viewing is there alot more channels

thousands more on sat alot of them total crap like romainain folk channel alot of arabic no use unless your arabic,But there is fantastic football coverage great movies better than sky loads of documentry channels,and plenty of ~~~~ if you like that.You can open these channels with a bit of know how but we cant talk about that here

I think im going to look at the sat onethen, best start with the Beginners guide, im looking at the echolink box is that a good one or is it personal preference

I'd start with a Dreambox 500S or a 500S Clone..

There is plenty of support for these boxes and they are excellent for beginners.. You'll find a few on eBay from the UK, second hand, which is always cheaper, or you can buy them brand new from china over the internet..

If i was buying my first one, i don't think you can go wrong with a second hand one from the Bay..
