dreambox dm 500-s help

i have a dm 500 s and it has crashed. i was running a gemini image on it on cc cam 2.0.3, it is now saying fta instead of net, do i need to run c lines again ? help plz

try a re-flash after you have backed up your c**am config file. there is a G.P. 4.2 img that i posted in the downloads section with c**am 2.2.1 built in and c**am info and ecm info plug-ins also. re-flash your box ftp your configs in, stick a channel list in and you will be back up and running in 1 hour max. regards mdt

you say fta in your first post, if you are getting these channels is your cccam switched on?? how long have you had the box??

the fta channels arent on either, had it about 2 weeks

reflash your box make sure you have ccam installed

im not sure how to do any of this , im a total noob ! , ive got firezilla and logged into dreambox, how do i download a new image ? thanks

did you get sorted and did you install image yourself? did you have a look for the best image first? what is the exact name of the gemini image? and are you aware that box is enigma 1 only?

you needs a programme called dreamup and a null cable youtube is your friend

If you can log into dreambox then it looks like its alive. Use dreambox control centre to connect to the box. download this image here in 1st post http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...elease-277813/
Now you have dreambox control centre connected to box, click on the ftp tab in bottom right hand corner.Browse for image file you downloaded and transfer it into the tmp folder.Now click on telnet tab in bottom right hand corner and enter cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp Commando_14-6_dm500_Release.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot then press enter on keyboard After about 3 mins your image should be flashed
