518s Dreambox backup

I have looked all over for a step by step method to backup all the data in my Dreambox 518s to my pc. I don't want to mess with my box unless I can fully restore it if I screw it up.
Can someone PLEASE post how this is done? Don't just say "use Flash Wizard" or use "Dreamup". I need to know by steps because my attempts to use these programs haven't been successful. I want to backup EVERYTHING in this box.
