new to forums and new to all the setting up end of things and need some real beginner help.
Have had a DM500 for 3 Mths now and quite happy with it - will most likely upgrade box to a HD one with recording facility in the future but for now want to get my head around the basics first.
Guy who supplied it seems somewhat helpful in that he initially set the box all up himself so all I had to do was plug it in and turn it on and after a few initial problems (my end not his) got it working 99%, with only a handful of missing channels which I put down to slightly out dated bouquets.
Anyway to the point - I want to be able to add/tweak bouquets myself, update when needed to pick up lost channels etc. and if need be set a box up from scratch should I mess up or want to set one up for a family member (My Dads already onto me about getting one for him!!)
Where do I start?? From limited advice from guy who supplied box I have downloaded and installed Dreambox Edit and it seems to see the DM500 okay as It can connect when I test IP connection....should I look for and download bouquets from here? What is that commando 14.6 I seen on one of the threads and should I be using it?
