    DM500S power lbn power?

Hi looking to see if someone could help me with this problem, I got a dm500s from a friend it had been bricked ages ago got it flashed no problem, so i hooked it up to my fixed dish pointing at 28.2 the dish has a twin cable coming from it, it couldn't find any thing at all signal was not strong enough. but i know my openbox works fine on this dish
so i left one cable in the dm500 and put one in the open box and bang the dm500 now finds channels when searching
how would i get round this problem, is there a part in the dream box needs fixed? is the problem that it it a twin cable coming from it?
hope explained everything well enough thanks in advance Dedemccaw

Try another Power supply as it seems the Openbox is supplying more voltage to power the LNB than what the DM500s is.

So i couldn't find another power lead to see if it was at fault, though i took the dream box over to a friends. Hooked up the dreambox to his fixed dish and still using my power cord it worked fine.... cant get my head around this one at all

seem's i hit it a fluke when i hooked it up the other when i managed to get signal when i first posted, i have just kept trying and it seems to be pot luck what ever way the satellite cable fits in as it gets a lock and sync then lock and sync falls out again?? my twin cables are both running at signal intensity 84 percent and signal quality 74 percent?? on my other reciver
