    RCA to SCART on 500s

Anyone using the RCA (cinch) outs on DreamBox 500s? I wonder what the quality if like compared to SCART (native)?

500s is hooked directly to a SCART socket on TV. Don't want to recable the entire setup to be able to record from 500s to hard-drive.

So ... to be able to record 500s content I was thinking on leaving the current arrangement SCART to TV but also adding RCA (cinch) out to SCART for hard-drive recording.

I presume that RCA (cinch) out and SCART out on the 500s' backplane can operate at the same time?

    Regards, BromsgroveBhoy.

both outputs work well rca to rca or rca to scart just make sure the rca to scart lead is the correct way as some only work scart to rca.

Cheers - RCA to RCA - great idea - which I'd never considered. I'll give that a go and let you know how I get on. Many thanks for your input (no pun intended!).

RCA (OUT on DM 500s) to RCA (IN on hard drive) works a treat.

Can now record from DM500s without faffing around with SCART switching.
