    hotbird 13 dm500

    hi,
ive just managed to set up my motorised dish to work with my dm500. the engineer set the dish to sky uk, so ive had to manually move the dish to hotbird 13. ive got a signal at which i think is hotbird. the SNR is 93% the AGC is 94% and the BER is 0. is this ok?? when i do a scan i only get about 80 services. Not sure why so little?

ill list a few (im sure they are hotbird)

AKA, CNBC, DAYSTAR, GLORY, HORROR CHANNEL, SANGAL, SONY MAX, TV SHOP, BANGLA TV, daystar and BELIEVE TV

    cheers

your still on [email protected]... get yourself @vhannibals E1 list and put it on your box using DBedit but take care when moving your dish and dont go past 28.2e and 30w untill your certain that your dish wont hit the wall/roof and you have done some more reading, regards mdt

i did a channel search online for hotbird 13, and a lot of the channels i listed above are listed in the hotbird list?

also the dish has moved over west a bit from astra/sky? unless you think its still picking them up from that? the dish is 110cm

        cheers

          Hotbird 13?

buy a Digital satr Finder sf-500 and you're done.

are you using usals or dis 1.2 ? send the dish to say 30w and then go outside and see if the dish moves west, if it does wait until it stops then do a blind scan to see what it picks up. you can then tell what bird its on by the channels recieved.. dont worry you can delete them later if its at the wrong orbital slot. regards mdt
