    I need more signal

    90cm dish, 0.2 LNB (thats just 0.2, not 0.2 maximum), 19.2 E

    Southern Greece.

I have a 500s (Alps) that works fine and a 7020 (Philips) that will not work.

Signal strength on NGC is 90% BER 0
Signal strength on DIscovery is 77% BER 0 but occasionally it flicks up to maybe 20 or so. This is on the 500. I want to use the 7020 so need more signal.

The way I see it the options are
    1) Bigger dish, not easy as the roof is pretty full and I can't remove the 90, it's not mine
    2) Better LNB, a 0.1 or 0.2 maximum, would that fix it?
    3) An amp on the roof, my coax run is 25 metres or so, would that fix it?

Any other suggestions or recommendations about the best way.

I would also like to get 28.2, any suggestions as to the best way?

the amp will only make it worse by amplifying the nosie on the signal .You could try a better type of coax and to remake you f plugs. Also you could check the dish aliment is 100% ok.A better lnb should give a better signal i have read good reports of the darkgold lnb on weak signal. But the best way to improve your signal would be a larger dish.As for 28 e a 90cm dish in greece would need a miricale
