Help to get started with new dream box 500

Hi is there any body who could help me out? I would like to know how do i get up and running with my new dreambox 5oo Fed up with paying a fortune with my technomate box when subscription runs out and anything freezes on it , guy who sorts it charging to much for little work, So damn it im having a go myself with A CHEAP BOX . any ideas would be great . Thanks a lot
