conect my dm500s to ruter

Hi,
i have DM500s for conect my box to ruter in communication setup i use DHCP and i have enabled DHCP in my network connection and in Mount Manager when i press mount (green) i get this error "invalid or missing dir or local dir".
i?m new in dreambox so i want a direct link to the beginers.

i dont quite understand are you not able to connect your 500 to the internet via the rooter or are you trying to mount a external hard drive on the network?also which image are you using?

Help and advice for beginners in DM500s

Hi Firestorm,
when i shoped this box they said it`s with Gmini and you need only insert your ip adress it work automaticly but it didn?t work. I can watch only free to air canals. And i said i?m new in dreambox so how can i start with DM500.

hi there could be a few problems there but what you have is called cardsharing and it is banned from taking about on here and a lot of sites that will allow cardsharing wont allow payservers which i assume you payed a one fee in some were like tenerife.
with out crossing that line you need to is make sure your 500 gose via a rooter and that the rooter.the rooter needs to have ports opened to allow the dreambox to accsess the web
