Will cheap DiSEqC switch of ebay do, or is their a recomended one to use?

Thinking of adding another satelite into my 500s for few other channels, understand that I need a DiSEqC switch of some kind.
Will any off ebay do or are there better ones, don't really want to spend much as I'm saving for a dual tuner setup.

Is there a chance that the satelite signal from hotbird which I'm using at the moment will be reduced by the switch, i.e. could I lose some channels?

Was thinking of this one as its a only ?4.95 and its technomate which I assume is ok? But it is a 4x1 switch is that ok?

    Thanks

    Hi Rich,

That Diseqc switch is fine no problem at all just wondering if you only have a single setup now on a fixed dish and you only want to add one more LNB why not go for the 2 way diseqc instead of the 4 Here: TECHNOMATE 2 WAY DISEQC SWITCH TM2S | eBay offer him 50p and it works out at a pound cheaper.

Onto the switch yes you will lose some signal quality around 2-3db per output on the switch but this does not mean you will lose channels that all depends on the size of dish and lnb type you are proposing to put it on.

    Regards

Thanks again mate, you following me . Didn't see that item when looked, I'll try a offer.
My main dish is probably bigger than I needed so I'll just suck it and see with channels, suppose only waste of fiver if no good.

      Thanks again bud
