I also wonder why the price of the dm800 is not falling. Why does the dm800 have a slower processor, will this make any real world difference?

Because none of this was planed before the release of the DB800, this new DB500 & DB7000 series is in a bid to knock out the clone receiver market and for Dream-multimedia finally stop all support for these receivers once CCcam and other emulators are been written especially and only for for E2 devices it will virtually knock out the clone receivers and the use of all newer software & applications..

It does not answer the question why the weaker processor but it was not planned to be over took by a lesser model !

If this happens then surely they'll just start cloning E2 receivers?
Bad idea to buy a DM800 now I guess.
