    How to upgrade commando 14.6 to 14.7


    how can update my dreambox 500 image commando 14.6 to latest commando 14.7.

    I don't know much about it but I can login into my box via FileZilla but need help where to put files to update it. Do I have to update all the files or just the image file ? If yes then in what folder should I need to copy in.

          How do I do the online update? MENU > Utilities > Online Update

          After a few seconds, you'll see an "All done!" popup. Ignore it, it
          is telling lies! Testing threw up a syntax error in the script that
          actually runs the update, doh... But DO NOT PANIC!

          Using TuxCom, or FTP, or Telnet, or PuTTY, or DCC - DELETE this file:

          /var/etc/version

          and run the online updater again. It WILL work properly this time, we
          promise. Sorry about this little foobar, not going to tell you who
          made the error though...

          Mate Paphos AL, and the rest of the team couldn`t have made this any easier. Follow the first part above and you will be up and running in 15 minutes or so following the online instructions to choose location and auto bouquets. The best image ever for a dm500.

          These guys are brilliant and i doff my cap to each and every one of them for the work they do.

              The switch from C14.6 to C14.7 is dead easy. Infinitely easier than changing from OpenPLi or other E1 images to our rufty-tufty macho Neutrino Commando, LOL!

              First, backup any cam and cam cfg files you may have added to C14.6 for personal testing and educational purposes only, as permitted by EU Law. As C14.7 (like all Commando releases) is FTA vanilla...

              Unrar the release C14.7 rar and FTP the 7.75mb .img file to the /tmp folder.

              DO NOT POWER BOX OFF AT THIS POINT!!

              With your remote control: Menu > Services > BLUE > GREEN

              Arrow down to select the image, then press OK then RED

              Job done!
