Some Dreambox 500-s questions from noobie

Hi all! I am waiting on my dreambox at the moment ,I will also be getting a motorised Dish system and intend to set it up 4 CS but being a noob I'm just wondering what I will get without CS?...I think I'll need to read alot of tuts before going down that road! I was considering buying a card for it but from what I've seen they are quite expensive.can anyone give me any info on cards and where to get 'em? All info is appreciated as I know practically zero at this point

apart from CS (if you do decide to go CS use CCcam), you can either buy cards for it, watch FTA or update keys every so often to clear a few channels (not really worth it though)
