Dm500 Plus Bootp / nfs / image Booting Problem

Dear Guys


I have screwed up my DM I loaded an .img file instead of nfi , so now it does not start.


I have try the null modem solution but the CH-340 China Usb To serial Adaptor is not working. I have extend my searches for 3 days on the matter and my conclusion is that this product does not provide the correct information from the Manufacter to communicate with NULL modem Cables, it's a matter of Chip. Anyway , the other solution i had is the BOOTP method. So i found this link Dreambox Ethernet boot and NFS root mount howto (its old i know) and trying to boot with this method! MY problem is that this guide was made for DM500 while i am using dm500 plus which it load Different bootloader and different method! i need your help. I don't want to use JTAG or insist in Null modem cable because i need to buy Converters either LPT or SERIAL because i own a laptop and not a Desktop PC. Does anyone know how can i fix my Dm500+ From Ethernet boot ?

and then i have to load the ELF Files. I have try First the bootlogo.elf , but nothing, then i tryed the zImage.elf but still nothing happen.

any ideas?

its meant to be a disk image file and not an nfi file for the dm500s. i,d also suggest you flash with a null moden rs232 cable from comm port on a pc and not a serial adaptor as they can be very hit or miss
