Hi all .. I've got a dreambox 500s . could I flash and use this or is it too old.

No they are still absolutely fine my friend as long as your not too bothered about HD, if your using it on a fixed 28.2? east dish then Commando 14.7 with autobouquet updater seems to be the image of choice again that's entirely up to your self

Do I need a serial cable to flash the dreambox 500s or can I do it through ip / router
