Nabilosat Darkstar II - incomplete channel list on Astra 28.2

2 months ago I purchased the dreambox 600s pvr. Although when i initially purchased it, it came installed with a gemini project image, I was never happy with the image as I didnt believe that the box had been flashed properly.

last month I decided to use dreamup to flash DB600 with the Nabilosat Darkstar II image and use CCAM.

since doing this and running a scan 3 times now I notice that the channel listing for Astra 28.2 (aka Sly Tv) is missing many channels. Amongst the channels missing are:

    Zee Music
    Sunrise TV
    Trouble

The first 2 channels that I mentioned are FTA channels and are available on everybodys sly pace receiver as a FTA channel and will appear as FTA channels on other satellite boxes- Dreambox or Technomate.

As mentioned in my introductory thread my dish is correctly skewed and alligned.

prior to owning the DB600 I owned a DB5620s- a very basic and old model in comparison, yet I managed to receive a complete channel list using the DB5620 for all channels available on Astra 28.2.

So I can only assume that the incomplete channel list is due to a problem with the Astra 28.2 channel listing on the Nabilosat Darkstar II image.

As a result of gemini project images destroying clone dreamboxes- due to the gemini bomb, and more recently the inability to access the hard drive when recent gemini project images are used on the dreambox 600 pvr. I am very reluctant to return to using gemini project images- unless a knowledgeable forum member can advise me of a trustworthy gemini image version that I can use on the DB 600pvr.

i have heard of another image that I have never used called jade PLi- Ive heard its meant to be ok. So can somebody please advise me:

which version of jade PLi will sort out my incomplete channel listing and give me the full list
is there a newer version of Gemini project that wont try to bomb my box
is there a newer version of a nabilosat image that i can use which will give me the full channel listing for astra 28.2

really appreciate some feedback here- the family are driving me nuts asking me why the channels are missing, and I havent got a clue.

Try going into Setup > Transponding and satellite > transponder edit > Astra 28.2 > change > sat edit > change 282 to 284 and save settings.

so i need to ask 2 things in response:

Curious- has sly tv changed its frequency from Astra 28.2 to 28.4- if it has not- why do i need to edit the transponder settings

opsmonkey- will the generator produce an up to date satellites.xml file for all my 3 LNBs- hotbird 13, Astra 19 and Astra 28.2. This is especially important, as I must have up to date channel lists for all the LNBs

        Thanks

opsmonkey ive now gone to the site and selected the 3 LNBs I need- Astra 19, 28.2 and Hotbird 13

The satellites.xml file it has produced is very small only 31.3kb- is this normal?

Your motor settings will be dependant on wether you have a fixed dish or a motor. Some images appear to Astra at 28.2E and some have it at 28.4E.

I have uploaded a copy of satellite.xml file. Copy it to your folder var/tmp on your dm600 and then use manual install to install on your box.

thats has come accross a bit shitty mate.. you will find people will not bother to help if you post comments like that

As Curious stated some images run at 28.8E and some at 28.4E..

If you have just downloaded the .xml file for those 3 stas then yes the file will be small, the original one will have presets for all satellites..

Manual installs are normally done via the blue button
