    Help with old DM500 please

Just dug out my old dm500s clone from a few years back.
Remote is dead. I used to be able to connect through my network and edit things and ftp files over etc. Problem is I gave it a fixed ip and now I have changed isp and the ip is no longer valid.
I have a null modem cable, is it possible to change the ip via that? Also once connected I can change channels via my laptop..

Any suggestions other than buy a new remote?

    Remotes are ?2.85 eBay
If u have a iPhone u can use a app to turn tele over,
But you would need the remote to set it up anyway.

You should be able to find the IP of the box through your router configuration, before you plug it in enter your router menu and take note of the devices that are already in there plug 500s in and it will show up hopefully

Wireless Network Watcher - Show who is connected to your wireless network

just download this software and it will scan all your IP addresses of any equipment you are using on your network

I will try looking at network connections. But I think the ip I gave it isnt in the range of my network as I have changed providers and have a different set of local ip addresses. I will take a look though.
