    OEM 500s - Remote control Problems

    Hi,

    Just got my OEM 500s and the remote is not working, or the box is faulty..

    cannot get past the TV Setup (PAL) screen...

    Is it worth flashing the system, in case there is a problem with the system that came on it...

    It's currently got DK on it, cant tell what version though.

      it'll be DK v1.1 did you get it from dreambox.me

      have you tried using the left and right arrows and pressing ok on "Set Up"

          Hi,
          Yes I have tried the left right, no change, OK, no change, coloured buttons, all buttons, it wont do anything.

          Used a WEBCAM to confirm that the remote is emitting - which it is... made a big mistake and ordered it from dvbmonkey... no reply to several emails now... have to look for a more reliable supplier, here in the UK....
