guys i have ordered a 500s instead of 500c is the procedure for flashing ect the same as the cable box???

flashing the box is the same
but you wont get the same way of getting all the channels as cable, as this is just for sat and only get the free channels without a sat subscription

if your trying to connect a 500S to a cable source it wont work.. it has a satellite tuner and not a cable tuner.. send it back

cheers guys.i know it wont work with cable source but i was going to "sort" it and give to my cuz he has satellite was just wanting to know if u can flash image ect to get more sat channels?? ta

a 500t wont work on satellite or cable.

500T terrestrial
500C cable
500S satellite


those letters after the 500 have a meaning

dont buy one then mate until you do.. they are complex boxes, in fact they are a mini Linux PC with a Sat / Cable or Terrestrial tuner
