    Help 600PVR image

My dreambox DM 600 PVR was going crazy so I took a back up of all the files using telnet / ftp and ended up with a .img file on my Hard disk.

    downloaded Universal DreamUP V1.3.3.11

    downloaded an image file
    dreambox-image-dm600pvr-20120108020416.nfi

Connected my DM600 using a null modem and Flashed the image

When all was ready, I switched off, waited a minute, and switched on the DM600 but I got the Red and Green light on but no signal.

How can I restore my .img file cos the DreamUP software does not give me that option??
    many tks

      many tks,
the only problem is that when I attach it to the TV, it says no signal, and I cannot communicate with the box from my pc through network. I can only communicate through Serial port at the moment !!

as in the other link power off hold the power button then power on
after few secs let go you should now be able to see box via web page.

if you are getting a solid red & green light and nothing is happening (Black screen on TV and no IP address once connected to router via LAN), your box is a clone and you need to used Dreamup and "pli-jade3-dm600pvr-20090627-6494.nfi" to flash it.
Have you tried to extract the image file (your backup ) to see of you get a nfi file to use and flash with that.

many tks for your reply. Dont think it is a clone. It should be an original box !!

Will try to find the image you told me about and will try to extract the .img file.

                many thanks again
