    Network Issues with dm500 - s

    Hello folks,

I am facing some network issues with my db.
I have red the topic http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-issue-202122/

I'm connecting the box through a switch

But my current configuration under "Communication Setup" are: (Network & DHCP are both ticked)
    IP : 10.0.0.97
    Netmask : 255.0.0.0
    Type : LAN
    Nameserver: 192.168.1.1
    Gateway 127.0.0.1

I tried un-checking the DHCP box, and I entered
    IP : 192.168.1.100
    Netmask : 255.255.255.0
    Type : LAN
    Nameserver: 192.168.1.1
    Gateway 192.168.1.1

    No results ...

    Any clue?

    Thnx & rgds,

Your reply to the OP is not very helpful, We are a community and as such should be helping each other no matter how trivial the question or even posted in the wrong section.

        Moved to the correct section

        Thank you

I had a similar issue where it would be connected fine but when the ethernet was removed and reinstered it wouldnt connect in the end rebooted the router and box and it was ok, when the DM 500 defaults to the IP: 10.0.0.97, it generally means there is an error somewhere in the connection, I had a box and a reflash sorted it but it could be a number of reasons. Try a direct connection to the router/modem via ethernet and see if that works which if it does then it could be the switch or the config if not then it could be something to do with the hardware within the box (IE. dodgy ethenet module). As mentioned this can be a pain in diagnosing this typoe of fault as their is so many variables to go wrong.
