500s dead after image flas

helo,l ive bought a 500s to mess about with as I have one already and want a new image. it had Gemini 4.7 on it now ive tried connecting with a null modem with dreamup but coulnt get a connection when powered up so read a bit and tried the telnet way with the tut on this site so pasted the command after putting the image in temp it was erasing and at the end sad something like no temp file or cant find temp file now its just a blank screen any ideas ive used the patched dreamup and still cant get it to connect the cable is 9pin females both ends so think that's ok

What method did you use to telnet? If box is talking via telnet then i dont think its dead. How can you using serial ? Usb etc?

I used dcc it was a null modem cable it wont telnet now as its erased the image and never got the new one from the temp folder for some reason followed the tut all am getting now is a blank screen no connection in dcc and null modem

try dreamup reflash the box use this if uk based

right ive got the box flashed with a backup commando 14.7 image of this site the lead wasn't a nll modem but when Ive added my working clines theres nothing on only free to air ive updated the sat xml any ideas what it could be on the image it said just add cline it was an irish one an am in england

sorted simply rescan cheers
