Freeing space on a DM500s

Are there any files that aren't needed on a DM500s?

I notice I have xml files for cable and terrestrial in /var/share and /var/etc are these needed on a satellite dreambox?

No mate, its there because the image was designed to work on all platforms..also delete any skins you dont want..they waste loads of space

if you only have a monoblock or even a single LNB then you can download a custom satellites.xml file that only relates to your needs.. i.e. doesnt have satellite data for birds you dont view..
