    sat at 28.2e

    got a DM 500 S

    got a Sky dish/cable and hooked up to the box

    other than Astra at 28.2 what other satellites can one pickup

    also do I need to do any special configuration in the sat config screen to select 2 satellites

      If your using your fixed sky dish pointed at Astra then thats all you will pick up.

              with the same dish i have picked up astra1-19.2e as well.very good quality after moving it a little

                  What..?? I dont beleive this, unless your dish is warped.. there is a nine degree separation between the two Astra satellites..

                  what channels are you getting form 19E..?

                  Unless you mean you have moved the dish from 28E to 19E.. which.. isnt classed as a little movement

                      to be honest don't know what warped means.i was trying to improve the astra 2 signal quality.unscrewed one of the holders and moved little bit in my opinion and my technomate 3200d+ showed that iam picking up astra 1,astra 2 and astra on 23.5e.the lnb which is on my sky dish is with 4 slots and have rectangular shape.

                          the dish on sky also look a bit bigger than normal sky dish and more like an egg,not circle

                              when i scanned i remember getting the channels on astra 1 and some of astra 2-not much though-i didn't mean to do that so i kept trying to find astra 2 only with all channels

                                  so your saying you have managed to pick up channels from 19E, 23.5 and 28E with one LNB..?

                                      You are merely scanning pre-loaded channel/transponder lists on the receiver for the 3 satellites... finding channels and then assuming you are receiving them... the box is probably indicating those satellites on its info bar (as most receivers merely show which "satellite list" it has allocated that channel to)..

                                      what you are saying is completely impossible

                                          only 2,not 3.after the scan it showed the channels picked up,not the preloaded-if that was the case i would have more channels on astra 2.but never mind-maybe iam mistaken
