im thinking of getting a dreambox 500 s, firstly is this box easy to update and do u get all channels including box office also these box are not going off soon are they like they are a few people sayin these boxes are finishin

Q1 = is this box easy to update
A well all sat dreamboxs are a learning curve and to update you either need to put keys in which there are not many good channels left to put keys in or cardsahre which is not allowed here and again not recomended for a new user to sat
Q2 = do u get all channels including box office
A No not even with the unmentionalbe would you get box office
Q3 = these box are not going off soon are they like they are a few people sayin these boxes are finishin
A no one know how long these will last

so if i put in the keys i wont get al channels but if i do cardsharing i will get all apart from boxoffice? and is it noe as simple as just loadin on firmware like it is on a starview box for cable?

you wont get hardly any channels with keys.. none in about 3 weeks..

if your after Sky UK then dont even bother with a cardshare, the sky encryption makes it freeze jump and pixelate rendering it unwatchable..

its a lot more than just loading firmware..

You will be better off with a standard Sky / Virgin subscription for your English TV and an IP Box for sports broadcsat via European Broadcasters
