it looks like 4.8E has a very narrow beam, a dish over 1m looks to be needed for the UK..

Hipsasat you should be able to get in the UK..

    You are in the UK..??

What image and dish size have you...?
How old, good is your LNB

your in NW ireland i think
it maybe the dish size not 100% sure
try this sat xml see if you get a lock on a transponder ,but keep a copy of your other one incase it goes titsup

            some satellites.xml display 4.8E as 5E . Mine does.
Maybe you will have to edit it in wordpad.
hispasat should be receivable - maybe you have dish alignment issues also .30w is normally where you start seeing things going wrong.

If you are not using usals you will have to manually move the dish till you lock onto it.

OK, same question as before in the other thread! Does the motor actually move when it says it is?

If not, then you either have a faulty motor, an image problem, channel list problem or it could even be an iffy connection with the coax, or the limits are set on the motor or receiver software. All of which are easy to sort out if you can narrow it down!

If the motor is moving, and your receiver is not locking on the satellites, then I'd suggest that it is an alignment problem.

To be able to help you out it would be useful to know if your pole is 100% vertical, and if the motor actually moves the dish to the problem satellites.

I think you said you are using a DM600? I'm not sure if that is the same as my box, so I'll leave that up to someone else!

Good luck with it, persevere, because once you have it sorted you'll love it, and be so much more knowledgable than if you just got someone in and paid them
