eagle blacbox 500s

hi lads this box after flashing with plijade, on the set up pal,16.9 etc, then choose language,the timezone etc,on saving it reboots to the install again with nothing saved,if you exit past these and scan itll scan all the channels ,but after a reboot all is lost,its as though nothing saves to memory,any suggestions,or is box ~~~~ed. this is my first time with a sat box

can anybody tell me if theres anythink you can do with one of these boxes, my m8s got one that wont come on when he switches it on,the green or red light wont change when he tries to turn over, any help is much appreciated
