Streaming HD Tv from DM500 to PC ??

I want to stream HD tv from my Dm500 to my PC then connect my PC to the LCD tv. Problem now is i dont have any HD channel on my list. I tried to do a manual scan, but although im getting a signal of 95% on any transponder with HD channels, the DM500 is not locking meaning i cant scan.

I have seen a friend watching HD tv using his DM600 which i believe is almost the same as dm500.

If he is a "friend" then could you not ask him how he did it?
Or you can look for a dm800 hd channels list and convert it to enigma1 channel list. this way you should get some HD channels on your list.

he put captain settings with HD included. But my dm500 is refusing this file

Stupid question, back have you tried turning the box on/off? Seems to clear up most of my issues with regard to ftp and downloads

Don't think this is possible

AFAIK this can't be done, the DM500s and clones have a DVB-S tuner which is only capable of decoding SD feeds. You need an HD version if you want to receive HD channels (e.g. DM800 HD) - basically you are looking for a box with a DVB-S2 tuner (which handles HD)

it can be done, i done it for a while but the quality is glitchy. just open up a stream in vlc using the ip address and the port ie 192.168.2.1:3388 and it will open up whatever channel you are watching on your box. if you put bbc hd on, you wont see it on your tv but it will be in hd on your monitor. this can be clitchy though. i used to leave it for a while and the pic would improve

Cool feature - I stand (possibly) corrected, however how do you actually tune an HD channel using the standard DVB-S tuner? When I scan a transponder carrying HD channels, 0 services are found - similarly when I scan a transponder carrying a mix of both SD and HD, I only see the SD Services....

Maybe some tuners allow you to tune them in and others don't? Or would this work with some manual editing using DreamBox Edit or similar...?

this is behavior with some images but others do scan for hd channels
load channels file with hd channels by dreamset to your dm and this will solve the problem

We cant do that.We cant find HD channels.can you tell me which images does scan this channels? or please explain "load channels file with hd channels by dreamset to your dm and this will solve the problem" action.thank you.
