can anyone help me please. i want to try sat i have a dreambox dm500s and sky dish. what could i get with this? or i could get a moterised 80cm dish what channels could i get similar to cable.

depends where you are, im on the south coast and picked up loads of sats moving my minidish around

so sat dish is alot better than cable. not alot of the sat is open. best way is to c/s can any one pm link info me on c/s please guys.

Out of curiosity.. what exactly can you pick up with a cable box?

I've had my DM500S a few months now and know there are loads of satellites up there.. its just a case of point your dish at the right girl in the sky.. but in the UK, I thought we just had virgin media for cable... am I wrong??

a cable box only works on Virgin Media.. it opens all the channels bar PPV.. Great if you live in a cabled area and only want to watch UK television
