next step after flashing dm500s

g`day you good people, i would like some advise on the next step to take after flashing my dm500s, it has been frozen for a few days & i was pulling my hair out, my system is sky plus quad lnb & the dm plugged into sky dish only receiving f.t.a channels at the moment,

FTA channels is all you will get with the Sky dish. If you want more then you will need to Google cardsharing.

oops.. someone else who has wasted good money on a Dreambox before reading that sky is unopen..

Sky use NDS which is very secure and isnt open..

You want to watch Sky via satellite then you have to buy a subscription..

You will hear stories about using a dreambox and cardsharing to get sky for free.. this is not as good as it sounds..

Yes the dreambox will open Sky channels but they freeze and pixelate every 30 seconds making them unwatchable unless you have the right files.. The NDS encryption is not suitable for CS (cardsharing)..

I think we need a RED sticky at the top of the page titled ' Free Sky channels' explaining exactly why you can't get free Sky channels! That is only way we are going to get people's attention to stop wasting money for the wrong reasons.

hi! guys, i mean i have sky plus & i do subscibe to it, i got a dreambox to have a play with & seen what else is out there, im not trying to get it for free,,

What people have problem with is that they are under the impression that all they can recieve or want is S*y but really there is a lot more out there than just S^y. If you subscribe to S*y for anything then you are already at an advantage then some of us freeloaders. What you need to do us is get all your FTA sorted then look into cardsharing and since you subscribe there will be lots of people out there who will all want to be friends with you because you have a S*y card.

sky doesnt pixellate or jump,the person you are getting it off is either very greedy or an amature,no pixellation or jumping
