hi all have a dm500s problem i have is it wont lock onto any sats. have flashed the box with new image and is still the same. the box is working ok appart from this prob. can i change the tuner if thats at fault and is it easy to do tx.

hi m8 yes my dish is ok. the dm that is broken is my m8s what i did is unpluged m8 dm and put his on my dish. at first it locked onto 28e but when i went to hotbird 13e the dish didnt move. and wont lock onto sats now. i think it is the tuner but im no expert

When you put your m8's dm500 on your dish did you change the lat/long? Might be worth making a backup of dm500 and flashing that image onto your m8's dm500 and see if that works.

Or you could just ftp your sat list to his box.

hi guys reflashed the box. and it locked onto 28e scanned channels ok no prob. but when i tryed to move the dish it just cut out now wont even lock onto 28 any more.or move the motor. is it the tuner that moves the dish?

you say you relashed the box, what image did you put on it, was it the image off your working box ?

Did you setup your own box, did you set all the sats yourself ? a little more info may produce better results to help solve the issue.

hi m8 refashed the box with gemini 420 which is on it now.allso tryed pli jade and nablo. the dm 500 is a orignal box . i no my dish is ok cos my dm is working fine. and i setup my own box myself.with all the sats without any probs. the image thats on the box iv used for a while now so it cant be that.

The gemini 420 image that is on the dm500, is that the backup image from your box or is that a new image you have flashed onto the box?

Would you not be better taking a backup of your box and flashing it to your m8s, that should eliminate issues with images.

Use Dreamup to make a backup image of dm500 and then use the same program to flash the image to your m8's box.

hi m8 put my image onto my m8s. then it found the sat scanned it in and was all working fine untill i tryed to move the dish then it lost the lockon and wouldnt do anything.

ok guys got a new tuner today for my dm500s. didnt realise it had to be solderd in anyone know anywere i can get this fitted? i live in liverpool tx
