    dreambox 500s r2332 help

    hi there im trying to flash the dreambox with image as box is just not booting up ,,,,ive downloadede dreamup ...but when i try to connect the port ie com port 1 is not showing its com port 6 ,,comport 7 etc up to com port 12 ,,,how do i solve this and get the box to connect to the dreamup ,,,,,ive tried different dream ups and there all starting at com port 6 etc idiots guide please

    Does it actually work on Com Port 6,7,8 etc.. as it will not always be on Com Port1.

    Com Port = Communications Port there are several different types on Motherboards so each could already be assigned by the operating system, When you plug in an RS232 lead then the next available port maybe either 6,7,8 etc...

      no it doesnt work on any off the com ports thats showing the r3232 lead works fine as ive just flashed a skybox f3 which was dead early today and on the eprom firmware that came up with com port 1 ...i use to i flashed a dreambox about two m onths ago and that worked ok but now cant seem to get it to work on the dreambox ....ive been into settings on the computer the com port one is showing that its working ok .....
