    Schools Back

    So the kids are back to school now and I want to block them watching TV in their rooms Mon-Thur (hard I know but hey...)

    Is there a way I can simply log into their DM500s and stop it receiving a satellite signal or turn that bit off?
    Maybe point it at a non-existant satellite?

    CUrrently running DK1.1

    Thanks...

    You could just steal their remote. 500s have No buttons on the front So they cant change the channel. Just leave it on a teleshopping channel first, surely they hold No interest in teleshopping

      Sneaky but a good suggestion

          Remotes now confiscated.

            You just need to add the time in 24 hour mode to the end of the fline for the kids box or boxes that you want them to have access.

            F: user4 pass4 5 0 1 { 12:00-17:00, 19:00-20:00 }

            The above line alllows viewing between midday and 5pm turns off for homework () and allows viewing again between 7 and 8pm.
            Just alter your existing f lines and put in your required hours of access.

            Fta stuff will still be viewable though

              You have plenty of FTA like bbc which often have decent things on so that defeats the objective.
              If the kids are like of they will find their own servers lmfAo.

                Resourceful little so and so's, if they are anything like mine.
                My lad is mustard, trying to get him to do homework is a nightmare. Told his mum he was using the pc in his room to look up stuff about the second world war for a project. I came home and asked where he was. Mrs said that he was in his room doing his homework and that he had been working qiuetly for about 45mins. I went up to check on him. Hes sitting watching Man United v Wigan with earphones. Hat scarf and his Man U top on. Loggged into the box in his sisters room on pc and watching with VLC. Set it up himself.

                Hes just turned 9 in June. LOL
