    500s with nslu2

    I have nslu2 and i am trying to mount a share so i can record from my dreambox
    I can mount a share folder and record to it on my pc drive .
    Have anyone able to get this working on nslu2

      The linksys network storage link. It is a network device that connect to your router ethernet port ,it have two usb ports which you can connect hard drives.

        It may have a Samba filesystem (SMBFS) instead of CIFS like a PC has.

        In the mount options, choose option 3 for the filesystem (I think that's the SAMBA one ) instead of the CIFS option.

            What username and password are you using?

            When I had my NAS connected to my router, I used the 'admin' username and password, you know the one you use to access the web interface of the device.

            Try that.

              Tried that did not work.I created a new private user name dm then added movie into that folder,private user also need a password.
              I can now mount the share but when i try to record i get a message not accessable .[QUOTE][/QUOTE
