dm by defalut comes with an image loaded;
now if i wanted to load DK 1 (i did not get meaning of DK earlier !!) can i use dream up which can erase the exisitng one and load DK?

yep u can use dreamup m8 it will be fine you can also ftp it across & use the telnet command to flash it much quicker tut is in the stickies m8

advise please which Cam to install from Server for DK1

i just loaded 500s with the DK1 image and are connected to internet .
rest configs such as setting the LAN and Diseq etc are done. also done a scan on hotbird to add channels. im able to get FTP is only now.

from the add on menu for DK1 i found folowing CAMs listed
(assume we choose the latest versions only)

CCcamd 2.06
EVOcamd 2.17c
Gbox 2.25d
MGcamd 1.30
Newcamd 5.28
Scam 3.29a

pl advise which all reqd. currently i have hotbird and will add nilesat and arabsat later.
will it get just downladed or installed with this ?
once i install cams can i move putting keys ?

first you need to download hacksat then put it in your dreambox via dcc (open dcc then ftp then var/tuxbox/plugins) then i would either use mgcamd or ccam they are the best.Then press blue button open plugins select hacksat and update your keys
